Will the 955x Chipset run windows vista. I am debating buying the Intel D955XBKLKR Intel Socket 775 ATX Motherboard. If any of you are currently running this board please let me know if not i am going to have to use one of the chipsets intel has confirmed to work.

955x Intel Chipset
I am only aware of the 945 Express chipsets being supported, but Intel is working on support other models. Have you checked their website for updates? -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

Yes i did call them there response was it should work but we are not sure i also called microsoft they did the best they could but there is no vista support team till the 14th so they couldnt turn up an awnser. So If i cant turn up an awnser by then im just going to go with the Intel D945PVSLKR Intel Socket 775 ATX Motherboard. I would prefer the 955x just because it has all the new bells and whistles like the coax and all that fun stuff. If anyone could come up with an awnser it be much appreciated.

If its better than the 945, its most likely to be supported. Microsoft and Intel I suspect are working on this, there were issues in earlier builds with the 945 x. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta
